Finding inertial equilibrium with an empty tea cup was 28% faster on the wooden surface as opposed to concrete.
Landing a tea cup that was half-filled with tea was 17% on wood than concrete, but slower overall because of the presence of the hot liquid.
It took almost exactly 2x as long to land the half-filled tea cup on wood than an empty cup, and 1.8x on concrete. I believe there is a fall-off of the careful slowing as it approaches a length of time safe enough to land almost anything.

Participants were approximately 128% faster in achieving inertial equilibrium with the glass of water.
